Founded in 1998, Bangalore August Round Table 140 (BART 140) is part of Round Table India, a zero-overhead organisation driving social impact through its flagship initiative Freedom Through Education (FTE). Dedicated to improving government school infrastructure for underprivileged children, BART 140 has constructed several classroom blocks and toilet facilities across Bengaluru and nearby areas, investing over ₹1.2 crore in recent years.

Recent projects include classrooms and toilet blocks at Sultanpet (Nandi Hills), Ankanagondi, Huskur, and Kodathi, transforming learning spaces for thousands of students. Working with NGOs like Gubbachi Learning Community and One Billion Literates Foundation, BART 140 ensures transparent execution and long-term sustainability. BART 140 has transformed learning environments and boosted attendance in government schools. Intending to build 2–5 classrooms annually, it continues to empower education and foster social progress – one classroom at a time.
