Freedom Through Education (FTE) is the heart of Round Table India’s mission, to ensure that every child has access to safe, inspiring, and functional learning spaces that translate into better learning outcomes.
Since 1998, FTE has been transforming the under privileged communities across India by building quality school infrastructure where it is needed most. Round Table India has built 10,040 classrooms, impacting over 11 million children.
Round Table India has put in colossal efforts to build FTE school blocks across the nation. We identify government and community schools that lack adequate infrastructure. Many of these schools have land available but no financial resources to take up major construction. RTI steps in to build fully equipped school blocks and hand them over to the school administration for immediate use.
Beyond funding, RTI members offer their time, expertise, and personal commitment, ensuring that every project is built with care, transparency, and the highest standards.

Freedom Through Education Assist
FTE Assist strengthens the learning ecosystem by supporting children with tools, activities, digitisation and experiences that enhance their educational journey. The programme helps students build confidence, curiosity, and essential life skills, ensuring that classroom learning is reinforced through real-world engagement.
Silent Olympiad
A one-of-a-kind national event designed exclusively for children with speech and hearing impairments. For 47 years, the Silent Olympiad has brought together more than 800 young participants annually, a total of 30,000+ beneficiaries, to compete in sports and cultural events. It is a celebration of inclusion, talent, and resilience, ensuring every child has the chance to shine.
Taare Zameen Par
A nationwide creative arts festival that brings out the imagination and talent of less privileged children. Through sit-and-draw contests, music, and dance competitions, Taare Zameen Par has been inspiring young artists across India for over 13 years. It is a joyful celebration of expression, creativity, and possibility.

RTI operates through 140+ tabling chapters across India, with a constant endeavour to add new centers every year.
Many FTE projects lie kilometres inside rural interiors. Our network, systems, and volunteer base enable us to plan, execute, and deliver projects anywhere in the country, driven by community needs and donor priorities.
